About Me

I am an Associate Professor (with tenure) in the School of Computer Science and Technology at Tongji University, where I also serve as Deputy Chair of the Department of Cybersecurity. I am affiliated with the Key Laboratory of Embedded System and Service Computing, Ministry of Education, China, and the Shanghai Network Information Service Engineering Technology Research Center. I also hold a Position A appointment under Tongji University's Young Centurion Program. I am an inaugural member of CMS - Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence (Math × AI).

I received my PhD from the University of Ottawa in May 2024, where I was fortunate to be advised by Prof. Yongyi Mao. During the summer and fall of 2019, I was a research intern at the National Research Council Canada (NRC).

Research Interests

I am broadly interested in the theoretical foundations of machine learning, with a particular focus on statistical learning theory and information theory. My primary research area is generalization theory, including both in-distribution and out-of-distribution settings (e.g., domain adaptation), where I often apply information-theoretic analysis tools. More recently, I have also been exploring safety and trustworthiness in LLMs, including topics such as LLM hallucination, memorization, reasoning, alignment and watermarking.
